Jeffersonville, IN – The City of Jeffersonville is in the early design stages of a project to widen and improve Charlestown-Jeffersonville Pike from Holmans Lane to Salem-Noble Road, as well as Utica-Sellersburg Road from Charlestown-Jeffersonville Pike to State Road 62.

“Due to major growth on this corridor, traffic has doubled over the last decade,” Mayor Mike Moore said. “We see this project as a huge opportunity to keep our infrastructure strong and improve quality of life for residents, drivers and future development.”

The City of Jeffersonvillle along with engineering firms, Jacobi, Toombs & Lanz and United Consulting will hold a Public Involvement Meeting in order to present the project as well as receive any input or answer any questions the public may have regarding this project.

“We want to hear from the people that use this stretch of roadway,” Mayor Moore said. “We know construction will impact daily life, but we also know in the long run this project will be vital.”

While they’re widening the road, they can fix the issue with the curve/slope before approaching the entrance to Evergreen Circle subdivision. The blind spot has caused many accidents!

If a Jacobi project its already a done deal waste of time meeting.

Why don’t you fix a lot of the deteriorating first. Mallard Run subdivision, Charlestown pike between both schools, whole road, 4 lane road between veterans and 31 just to name a few and most of all eastern Blvd train underpass. There is a lot of us long term tax payers that need attending too before you add more.
