Progress Like Never Before

A City On The Move

Mayor Mike

As I look back upon all of our accomplishments in 2016, I am thrilled at the progress we have made as a city just over the past year. However, we are not resting on our laurels. There is still plenty to do in the city of Jeffersonville and we are hard at work making our community a wonderful place to live.

I firmly believe that 2017 will be the year of retail in Jeffersonville. Multiple properties on Highway 62 and 10th Street, near I-265, are being developed this year. We will see a grocery store, a hospital, several hotels, restaurants and a movie theater, to name a few. Highway 62 and 10th Street will forever be changed in Jeffersonville, and because of this progress, 2017 will be remembered as the year we brought retail.

The East End bridge, now the Lewis and Clark Bridge, is the most significant thing to ever happen to the city of Jeffersonville. We will see the effects of that bridge sooner than you may think. The city is growing and it's my job to make sure it grows in the right way and in a positive way.

I look forward to that challenge and I look forward to everything else that 2017 throws our way.
