A MESSAGE FROM MAYOR MIKE MOORE

In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, here at the City of Jeffersonville, we are doing our part to slow the spread and I encourage you to do the same.

We are following CDC guidelines and relying on facts over fear.

We have made the decision to temporarily close the J.B. Ogle Animal Shelter, Ken Ellis Center, Nachand Fieldhouse, Spring Hill EnVision Center and Woehrle Athletic Complex.

Our city employees that are able, are working from home, but rest assured, there will be no delay in crucial city services such as police, fire and sanitation. However, these departments are also taking necessary steps to protect themselves and the public.

I know these are uncertain times, especially for our small businesses. To ease the burden, you can purchase gift cards, shop online and order take out from your favorite local restaurant.

I encourage residents to practice social distancing, but don’t be afraid to go outside and get some fresh air. Let’s look out for our neighbors, especially the elderly or those with under lying health problems that could make them more susceptible to this virus. We’re all in this together.
