Wine, Brew, and Food Tastings in Downtown Jeffersonville HopsShopsChardonnay2

Hops, Shops, & Chardonnay happens this Friday, October 4 in Historic Downtown Jeffersonville.  The event allows participants to stroll through Jeffersonville’s historic downtown district as they sample wines and brews inside local shops.  Jeffersonville Main Street Inc., a nonprofit downtown revitalization organization, and the merchants of downtown Jeffersonville are hosting the Hops, Shops, & Chardonnay event as a way to showcase both the locally-owned businesses of downtown and the progress taking place in the district.  A wide variety of Midwestern wines and brews will be featured.  Live music will include performances by American Idol contestant Emmy Bodner and local favorites Tom & Ricky.

The event takes place on Friday, October 4 from 6pm-9pm and features tasting stations of wines and craft brews located within downtown shops. Also offered at the event will be a wide variety of hors d’oeuvres, five live musical acts on the sidewalks, and special sales at locally-owned shops. Several area wineries will be on hand to offer wine tastings and sell wine by the bottle.  On the night of the event all participants must first go to the registration area in the Glossbrenner Garden at the corner of Spring and Chestnut Streets.  The first 250 people through the registration area will receive a commemorative glass.  Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the event (if available).  Tickets are expected to sell out for this event.
