Jeffersonville Mayor Mike Moore today announced the appointment of Chad Reischl as the city’s new Director of Planning and Zoning.

Reischl has been with the city since 2016 serving as the long-range planner. Prior to working at the City of Jeffersonville he held a similar position in Evans, Colorado.

“Jeffersonville is experiencing tremendous growth,” said Moore. “I have confidence that Chad has the experience and expertise to help us navigate future development.”

As the long-range planner, Reischl has led the city’s efforts in developing planning policy.   Among his accomplishments include authoring the Spring Street Master Plan, helping manage the 10th Street Strategic Investment Plan and directing the site selection for Chapel Lake Park.

“It’s an exciting time in Jeffersonville, I look forward to working with Mayor Moore to continue the progress the city has experienced,” said Reischl who will oversee a department of four. “We have a strong team that appreciates and understands the importance of planning for the future.”

Reischl earned his Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado where his studies focused on urban place making and economic development.  He also has a Bachelors of Science in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin.

The appointment was effective November 6, 2019.
