For the fifth year, Mayor Mike Moore is asking Jeffersonville students to help create the City’s official holiday card that will be sent to hundreds of fellow Hoosiers.

“I am so glad we started this tradition,” Moore said. “We talked about the possibility of not doing it this year because of the chaos students, teachers and parents are dealing with because of COVID, but, ultimately, I think we need this contest more this year than ever before. We should embrace every tradition we can, especially now.”

Through cooperation with Greater Clark County Schools and its teachers, Jeffersonville students in grades K-5 are invited to create an original piece of artwork that can be reproduced into the official City of Jeffersonville holiday card. It is up to the discretion of school officials to decide whether or not to participate in the contest, but the city encourages homeschool students, E-learners, and any other elementary-age student in the city to participate, even if it isn’t part of a classroom project.

Entries are due at the Mayor’s Office by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24 for consideration in the contest. Only one grand prize winner will be selected by the Mayor as the official holiday card for 2020.
