The City of Jeffersonville Street Department has been working hard this week, gearing up for ice, sleet and snow.

UPDATE – Clark County is currently under a Winter Storm Warning.

City officials have been in close contact with the National Weather Service. Predictions indicate a tenth of an inch to a quarter of an inch of ice could impact our area. We could also see 1-2 inches of snow.

After you return home this evening, please stay off the roads, if you can. If you must travel, slow down and give our salt trucks plenty of room to work. Thursday’s rush hour could be treacherous.

Please move vehicles off the roadways and park in driveways, if possible.

Our trucks will working to spread salt into the night and early tomorrow morning. You won’t miss our new neon green ones!

Thank you to our hardworking street department. Stay safe, everyone!
