This week, Mayor Mike Moore presented Amanda Beam with a City of Jeffersonville high honor as she was designated a Commodore of the Port.
This all came to be after a Clark County Jail inmate sent a Letter to the Editor in the News and Tribune about the impact Amanda has had on his life.

Amanda Beam is the new Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Coordinator, but has worked closely with inmates at the Clark County Jail for a while.
“Amanda makes our community better in every way,” Mayor Moore said. “Her volunteerism and compassion for people makes Jeffersonville proud.”
The CIT program is a partnership between local law enforcement and health facilities. Learn more about that program from WDRB News here: opens in a new windowhttps://loom.ly/MrleICI
Thank you, Amanda for making a difference in Jeffersonville!
