The 2021 paving season has officially kicked off for the City of Jeffersonville, after local company MAC Construction was recently awarded the low-bid.
Of the nearly $2 million worth of roads that will be paved this year, Jeffersonville was awarded a Community Crossings matching grant from the Indiana Department of Transportation in the amount of $857,631.74.
These funds will help build and improve Jeffersonville’s infrastructure. Although several main thoroughfares will be resurfaced, the emphasis again this year for our Street Department is working in our residential areas.
Each year, an independent firm is tasked with assessing the condition of the roughly 232 road miles within the city.
