In what has become one of his favorite holiday traditions, Mayor Mike Moore is once again asking Jeffersonville students to help create the City’s official holiday card.

“I look forward to this every year,” Moore said. “The response and talent of the students always exceeds my expectations.”

For the seventh year, through cooperation with Greater Clark County Schools and its teachers, Jeffersonville students in grades K-5 are invited to create an original piece of artwork that can be reproduced into the official City of Jeffersonville holiday card to be sent to hundreds of fellow Hoosiers during the holiday season.

It is up to the discretion of school officials to decide whether to participate in the contest, but the city encourages all elementary school-aged kids to participate.

“We really want every Jeff student to be part of this and the more, the merrier,” Moore said. “We hope every elementary age student in the city can participate even if it isn’t part of a class- room project.”

Entries are due in the Mayor’s Office by 12 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22 for consideration in the contest. Only one grand prize winner will be selected by the mayor as the official holiday card for 2021.
