Over the past 9 months the City of Jeffersonville’s Department of Planning and Zoning has undertaken a full review and update of the City’s Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Control Ordinance. This review was undertaken as part of developing a new Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) for the City. We have recently uploaded the Draft UDO and corresponding Draft Guidebook to the City’s website for the general public to view. A link for the Draft UDO, as well as the guidebook for the changes and additional information can be found at the following link:
We wanted to share with you the changes that we are proposing. Due to the pandemic restrictions, the Department of Planning & Zoning plans on hosting a series of online community meetings for the different neighborhood groups in the City, as well as for the general public to attend. These community meetings will be held the following dates:
Thursday, March 11 at 7:00 pm (Primarily focused on downtown and older sections of Jeff)
Tuesday, March 16 at 7:00 pm (Primarily focused on downtown and older sections of Jeff)
Thursday, April 8 at 7:00 pm
Tuesday, April 13 at 7:00 pm
The March meeting dates will primarily focus on the downtown and older areas of the City, while the April meeting dates will focus on the rest of the areas in the City.
Please pass this information to anyone in your neighborhood group or someone you know that may be interested in participating. People don’t have to participate in the online community meetings either. If they are unable to attend, and would like to discuss the changes, or have any questions about the changes, we’d be happy to discuss things further with them.
A google form has been created to sign up for the community meetings. Please follow the link below to that form to sign up and participate.
