The City of Jeffersonville is designated an entitlement community by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Jeffersonville is located within Clark County, Indiana and is the County Seat located north of Louisville, KY and the Ohio River in Indiana. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awards Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to “Entitlement Communities” across the United States.  Awards are based on formula calculations including factors such as the population of the community, growth and decline.  The City of Jeffersonville will be receiving an allocation of CDBG funding.

To receive funding each year, the City of Jeffersonville must complete an Annual Action Plan.  The Annual Action Plan outlines specific projects and funding resources that will be used to meet priorities and goals.  At the end of each year, the City of Jeffersonville will write a Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report to report the progress towards each of the Consolidated Plan goals.  The Annual Action Plan, Consolidated Annual Performance Report, and the Five-Year Consolidated plan enable the public, elected officials, and HUD to understand the needs in the community, provide input and measure progress and investment in the community.

The draft form of this 2026 Action Plan will be made available for 30 days for public comment beginning July 18th, 2026, and ending August 18th, 2026.
